Kunzum Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in India, connects the remote valleys of Lahaul and Spiti. Close to it lies the breathtaking Chandratal Lake, named after its moon-like shape. Just 2 km from the lake, a peaceful campsite welcomes trekkers to pitch tents and enjoy a rare, clear sky filled with stars and the warmth of a bonfire.
Unlike the lush green valleys of Himachal, Lahaul–Spiti is raw, barren, and mesmerizing, showcasing the high-altitude charm of the Himalayas. Despite minimal greenery, it reveals a different, untouched side of Mother Nature.
The region is a blend of Hindu and Tibetan cultures, reflected in its people, beliefs, and architecture. The Tabo Monastery (Lahaul) and Key Monastery (Spiti) are spiritual hubs where hundreds of monks gather to meditate during summer 🧘‍♂️.

Kaza is the main town in Spiti, offering hotels and homestays for explorers. The region is about 200 km from Manali, accessible via the iconic Manali–Leh highway.
